We believe great food begins with great ingredients, which is why we proudly partner with local farms, wineries, and a family-run bison farm in New Plymouth. Our menu brings a fresh, local twist to the timeless flavors of Italy, reflecting our passion for bold, honest food and the people who grow it.

Meet the Chef

Executive Chef Steven Topple brings a world of experience and a heart full of passion to the kitchen. Originally from Portsmouth, a historic naval and fishing port on the South Coast of England, Chef Topple’s journey began with a deep love for cooking rooted in family traditions. Sunday dinners were a sacred ritual growing up. His mother was a special needs teacher and his late father a school principal, helped instill the values of hard work, curiosity, and always expanding his palate. Though he once dreamed of becoming a pilot, a change in plans led him toward his other passion – The culinary arts.

For more than 20 years, Chef Topple has honed his craft in some of the world’s top resort kitchens. His resume spans from the bustling streets of London and San Francisco to the serene settings of Sea Island, Lake Placid, McCall, and Vail. He’s even taken his talents to Loch Lomond in Scotland. Each stop along the way has added a new layer to his expertise, preparing him for his proudest professional chapter. Opening and leading his own restaurants with the same care and excellence he’s brought to every role.

When he’s not in the kitchen, Steven is most likely out exploring the great outdoors. The mountains are his sanctuary, and he finds peace and inspiration in their ever-changing beauty. He shares his adventures with his beloved Springer Spaniels. Affectionately referred to as “the darlings”, who are not just pets, but energetic companions he considers family. Their joyful energy is a daily reminder of what matters most and one of the best reasons to come home.

A self-proclaimed doer, Steven has always thrived on movement and challenge. From multiple jobs as a kid, to managing teams in high-end kitchens. He lives by a philosophy of being “all in” with whatever he takes on. Whether creating a new dish, guiding a team, or just enjoying an Italian meal with his mom during their yearly travels, Chef Topple brings authenticity, heart, and dedication to every aspect of his life.
